The first models of the K100 Mk6 were assigned for certification to the USA and also the introduction of the semi compact model P1 in 2006. Grand Power announced collaboration with American gun manufacturer STI International Inc. to produce 100,000 pieces for the U.S market. The K100 MK6 model was selling in the U.S under the commercial name GP 6.

The K100 MK6 also features the unique locking mechanism, different from the mechanism found on other center fire guns. Gun contains a plastic frame with the MIL STD 1913 Picatinny rail that allows the user to attach different types of lights and laser sighting systems. It has simplified construction of the slide stop lever. The surface of all the metal parts of the gun was coated with the Tenifer treatment for harness and anti-corrosion resistance.

Ergonomics of the grip and magazine were changed in order to improve the effectiveness of the gun after consulting with IPSC shooters. Further changes mainly affected the material of the barrel and surface coating with applied Tenifer treatment, construction of the firing pin and the length of the gun has been increased by 0.11”. The front part of the trigger guard has been straightened. The slide stop lever is made of a chrome-nickel hardened compressed steel. The magazine features 17 rounds capacity. The K100 Mk6 is supplied together with 4 interchangeable handgrips, an ideal choice for multi-user shooting practice.
